Swampy
has successfully engineered a cooling system to help one or two
people to obtain relief in a vehicle when it is not practical
to repair or install air conditioning.
If you need to cool the entire vehicle you must install refrigerated
air conditioning. (Read #1 in our Frequently Asked Questions section.)
However, if this vehicle is used primarily with
one or two people, then the new WinAire could be just what you
might want as it is only 4" high, 5 1/2"
wide 10 1/2" long. Small enough to
keep from blocking your side view anymore than your sun visor
flipped to the side.
The WinAire Vehicle Window 12-Volt Cooling System is easy to hang
from your window, which you will open an inch or so for proper
cooling. Just roll your window up when you lock your vehicle as
the WinAire typically just remains in place. Uses less energy
than your dome light, therefore you may turn your engine off for
hours and still enjoy the cool air as you sit in your vehicle.
The problem with using evaporative cooling is getting proper ventilation,
as there must be a good flow of outside fresh air to produce cool
air, as you cannot re-circulate cooled air with evaporative cooling.
Another problem is that when 75-degree cool air travels just two
feet in 100-degree air it heats up to 90 degrees before you feel
it. The new WinAire does two things to conquer these
problems; 1st it pulls the hot fresh outside air it needs directly
through a slightly cracked window and 2nd the cool air is only
inches away from the driver or passenger. Effectiveness in this
small package is only possible because we use the MightyKool Custom
Cooling Evaporative System. You typically use water only for cooling, however
for colder air, especially in humid areas, feed ice cubes through
the fill door on the side. Then colder water enters the Custom
Cooling Pad System, producing cooler air. You may have to feed water or ice every half hour
or so as the holding tank is small to keep the WinAire from blocking
your side view anymore than your sun visor flipped to the side.
You must realize it is impossible to cool the inside
of a vehicle with simple portable cooling systems unless you use
our more expensive "Ice Water" Models (read #4 in the
FAQ section if interested). The WinAire will begin shipping on

Caution:
A. Never fill when driving as this may cause an accident. B. Protruding
anything inside your vehicle like this Cooling System, Cell Phone,
Television, GPS, etc. may cause injury or even death if you are
ever involved in an accident. Your vehicle fresh air vents receive air through
the engine compartment resulting in air hotter than the outside
air, therefore rendering the vents typically useless. This means
you typically must have your windows down all the way for cooler
air. However you often find that having the window slightly cracked
containing the WinAire may be the only window you need open.
The single Custom Cooling Pad should be changed every two to four
hundred hours so that you may continue to enjoy Cooler Air than
any other portable Evaporative Cooler including our own Swampy
Models. The powerful Brushless Double Ball Bearing Motor in the
WinAire merely sips power while streaming cool crisp air where
& when you need it. You can adjust the level of power you
prefer with the three-speed switch.
The WinAire uses the MightyKool Custom Cooling Pad System
which is the Secret to it's Cooling Power, thereby eliminating
the typical pump always necessary in other evaporative coolers.
This saves energy and allows the WinAire to be down sized while
producing even cooler air that has always been associated with
our Swampy Models. Perfect Evaporation occurs in the WinAire
resulting in cooler temperatures in either dry or humid conditions
as a pump adds either too much or too little water, as there is
no control on what is needed.
Specifications
What are the Dimensions, Amperage Draw and Water Capacity?
One gallon (3.75 liters) of water will last around two
to three hours in the daytime and four to five hours during the
night when used for evaporative cooling in dry desert climates.
The "Ice Water" models are capable of using from 10
pounds (4.5 kilograms) up to 20 pounds (9.0 kilograms) of ice
per hour depending on the ambient temperature and day or night
operation.
A 105 Deep Cycle battery, "not being charged", allows
the MW1, MW2 or WL/R to operate for 50 to 80 hours and the "Ice
Water" models will operate for 25 to 35 hours before the
battery needs charging. The Swampy Models will operate about 8
hours before the battery would need charging as they draw more
energy.
